Garden Resilience hosted its very first wedding on August 19, 2023. Stacie Bruce, a local resident of Springfield Gardens visited the garden a few weeks back. Bruce was dropping off her compost and was taken by the beauty of resilience. Ms. Bruce recently became a wedding officiant of New York and was set to marry her friends, Melissa and David. The couple wore matching red pumas as a symbol of their bond and a wonderful ode to the 50th anniversary of hip hop. Youth volunteers of Garden Of Resilience worked to get the space wedding ready by creating a welcoming message on the chalkboard and planting additional flowers. We wish Melissa and David love always.
