It is important to live in a clean neighborhood and that is why Linden SDA’s S.T.E.A.M. students cleaned the mural site on 225th Street for Operation Clean-up. Sponsored by DIVAS for Social Justice, students were tasked with pulling up weeds and removing trash in preparation to plant daffodils for the beautification project.
The town of Laurelton benefits from Operation Clean-Up because when people enter the town they usually throw their trash in the weeds. When people pass they think this is a bad and disgusting community. But the impact Operation Clean-Up has on the community is instead of people disrespecting and throwing thrash, people were impressed and they complimented the students. They even stopped to ask questions. This shows the impact the students’ actions had on the community.
