On December 30, 1984, Lebron Raymone James Sr, was born to his parents, Gloria Marie James, and Anthony McClelland. In his early life, his family didn’t have much. He often struggled. His mother had personal problems because her mother was deceased and Lebron’s father was in and out of prison.
James’ unstable household left him without a role model. Eventually, things started looking up for James when he was in the fifth grade. According to sources, James started playing organized basketball in the fifth grade. He later started playing in the Amateur Athletic Union basketball league for the Northwest Ohio Shooting Stars.
When he finished elementary school, he attended John Hughes Middle School. He led that team to a junior varsity title. After he had finished middle school, he went to the St Vincent-St Mary High School in Ohio. Then in his senior year, he led his team to a state championship.
Basketball changed his life for the better. He is now a professional American basketball player and a valued member of the National Basketball Association (NBA). In his professional lifetime, James has earned three NBA championships and was named NBA’s Most Valued Player (MVP) three times.
James has three children with his wife, Savannah Brinson, his high school sweetheart. Now a player for the Los Angeles Lakers, James allots his time to activism. In July 2018, he fulfilled an important professional accomplishment, opening an elementary school in Akron, Ohio, to help struggling middle school students.
