Laurelton Family Day was huge success and enjoyed by many in the community . The event was coordinated with the support of Assemblywoman Alicia Hyndman, The Queens Borough President’s Office, Senator Leroy Comrie and Councilman Donovan Richards. Laurelton Family Day featured healthy activities to encourage wellness in the community such as acupuncture, blood pressure screenings, rock climbing and much more.
In addition to the fair, Laurelton Operation Clean Up lead it’s third project focusing on cleaning up a mall off of Francis Lewis Boulevard.
Many civic and community based organizations came out to support Laurelton Family Day: The Federated Blocks of Laurelton, DIVAS for Social Justice, Pop’s House, NYPD Explorers, The 229 Street Block Association, 1 World Fest., and many more.
